Annual Church Conference

Every year, our church has a "church conference." This is both a business meeting and a time of worship. We should, as Christians, give thanks to God with each passing year for the ways that God is faithful to our church. Church conference is an opportunity to do that.

In addition, we use church conference as a time to vote on such business matters as : officer elections, budget approval for the coming year, approval of pastor's salary, and to hear reports on ministry.

The Church Conference is led by our District Superintendent. The "DS" is our overseer. They provide help in guiding the church through major decisions. The DS is an ordained pastor from the Western PA United Methodist Conference - our local chapter of the United Methodist Church.

All members of Faith Community UMC are welcome to attend the annual church conference. You have "voice" and "vote" which means you can ask questions, speak to the assembled body, and vote on the items listed above.
